Mickey's Kids Fun Run - Send Kids to Camp

Send Kids to Camp

Mickey's Kids & The K&E Scholarship Fund

Dear Camp Kenwood & Evergreen Community,

Greetings from the shores of Eagle Pond! It was so wonderful seeing so many of you at Visiting Day last week! Camp is in full, joyful swing, and you can see the excitement on all of our campers' faces. We definitely aren’t ready to send them home just yet!

Today is the day! We are so excited to host the 3rd Annual Mickey’s Kids 5K Run this morning. This event is all about celebrating our camp’s spirit of generosity and inclusion, helping ensure that the magic of Kenwood & Evergreen remains open to every child.

To wrap up the race, all of our Kenwood and Evergreen campers and counselors will be diving straight into our annual Color Run! While we’d love to have everyone here with us on campus, you can cheer your camper on live from anywhere in the world.

Summer Matters Inspiring confident, kind kids & forever friendships I'll let you in on how Visiting Day feels from our side, something I doubt you will hear many (or any) other camps saying out loud. It’s more because we spend all summer building something, and Visiting Day is when we find out whether it’s coming through. It's the day when the most important...

Summer Matters Inspiring confident, kind kids & forever friendships A freshman Kenwood camper told me this week why he picked K&E. Super simple and right on the nose. “I wanted a friends camp, not a stuff camp.” He came up for a tour last summer, and he still remembers it. The thing that stood out at the time? It's a grown man who runs a summer camp, taped to a tree, wearing most of an ice cream sundae. Ketchup and mustard included. That man is me. Smiling like it was the best evening of my summer, because it kind of was. Let me explain how I ended up here, and why it matters more than it looks. How I Became a Sundae It started as a prize. After Gold Rush, kids take...
