Mickey's Kids Fun Run - Send Kids to Camp

Send Kids to Camp

Mickey's Kids & The K&E Scholarship Fund

Dear Camp Kenwood & Evergreen Community,

Greetings from the shores of Eagle Pond! It was so wonderful seeing so many of you at Visiting Day last week! Camp is in full, joyful swing, and you can see the excitement on all of our campers' faces. We definitely aren’t ready to send them home just yet!

Today is the day! We are so excited to host the 3rd Annual Mickey’s Kids 5K Run this morning. This event is all about celebrating our camp’s spirit of generosity and inclusion, helping ensure that the magic of Kenwood & Evergreen remains open to every child.

To wrap up the race, all of our Kenwood and Evergreen campers and counselors will be diving straight into our annual Color Run! While we’d love to have everyone here with us on campus, you can cheer your camper on live from anywhere in the world.

Summer Matters Inspiring confident, kind kids & forever friendships I am standing in the assembly area looking down at the Hollow thinking “THIS IS SO AWESOME” Some inters and juniors are shooting on the soccer goal with a freshman boy trying to keep up. Cooper and some boys are launching a frisbee across the field. Senior boys and girls are talking in the Adirondack chairs, definitely not flirting. Some kids are in conversation, others running around. It’s 100% organized and freewheeling at...

Summer Matters Inspiring confident, kind kids & forever friendships Anyone on this list with a kid in a New Jersey public school probably got a very similar email this summer. It’s from their district, and it’s about phones. The Garden State signed a phone ban into law for every K-12 public school kid, joining a bunch of other states already doing this. The shorthand people are using is bell-to-bell. Phones away from the first bell ring of the day to the last one, starting this school year....

Pickleball. The Ropes Course. Archery. Fort building. One activity was missing for a little bit though. The slingshots. Why? The dads broke them at Visiting Day. I think that’s awesome. I’m being serious. We bought more. All good. So why would we be cool, even excited, about something at camp breaking...
